Averting a Plaque Attack…in San Jose CA.
At Braces For Pretty Faces we understand gum disease can become a big problem for people as they grow older. Luckily, it doesn’t just happen by accident, and if you know a little about what causes it, you’ll be better able to avoid it in the long run.
As unpleasant as it may be to think about, our mouths aren’t the cleanest places in the world. As food is eaten, the remnants left on teeth form a sticky substance known as plaque, which is full of bacteria. If you brush your teeth and floss regularly, most of this plaque is removed. (A quick word of caution about brushing: be gentle with your gums when you brush, because overly vigorous brushing can actually contribute to gum disease over time!)

An FSA (Flexible Spending Account) is a tax-free account that allows you to use pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible out-of-pocket health care or dependent care expenses. You choose an annual amount to contribute to your account, and your payroll deducts your salary contribution before calculating your taxes. Paying for eligible expenses with these pre-tax dollars saves money.
Did you know FSA dollars can be applied to orthodontic care? And if you so, here is a last minute reminder. Before it's too late, now is the time to start thinking about allocating $$$ to your FSA account, for 2011. Not every employer offers FSA accounts. Well, according to the "Teen Choice Awards 2010," Taylor Lautner – aka Jason – was awarded the best smile in the world, based on the voters.
Watch Taylor’s acceptance speech on YouTube. He gives a nice shout-out to his orthodontist. The Teen Choice Award is positive proof how important a smile really is today. Why else would they be giving out an award for the best smile in the world!!!

The brackets of the braces are the equivalent of the cars of a train, and the track that they follow is the archwire.
